Quick note - We actually rarely get asked questions about ourselves, but thought it would be fun to share some stuff anyway. Calling it a list of “Frequently Never Asked Questions” or “Questions We Wish We Were Frequently Asked” is significantly less fun. Instead, we’re just going to pretend we have been asked this series of questions on so many occasions that it would just be easier to get it out of the way now that we’ve just met. Got it? Good.

That being said, we get asked a lot of questions. Like so many questions. It’s actually kind of annoying to answer the same ones over, and over, and over again. So to address the elephant in the room, here is a list of the questions we get asked the “most” frequently:

Q: What theme do you use?A: We run our website using Squarespace. We have modified it to fit our needs using our (Erica’s) coding experience.

Q: Who is Erica?A: Foodie in Chief who’s shooting these eats. Also recipe developer and tester, photographer, video producer, editor, and all around bad ass.

Q: Who is Charlie?A: One exceptional pun professional who writes words on this website. Also professional vacation planner, creative development specialist, hand model, and amateur marketing guru. Definitely not a badass.

Q: What is your background?A: You might be surprised to learn that we are both engineers! I know, I know. You never would’ve been able to tell since we’re so charismatic and good-looking, but it’s true.

Erica has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and is actively pursuing her M.S.E. in Systems Engineering. Charlie has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is pursuing his M.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Q: How do you travel so much?A: As sad as it is to say, C&C is not our full-time job. We both have careers in STEM fields that offer great benefits and flexibility to allow us to prioritize food and travel in our personal life. We are extremely lucky to be in a position to explore the world together, and have no intent on slowing down anytime soon.

Q: What are your favorite countries you’ve visited?A: Every destination is different and has its own unique appeal. Beyond that, your expectations for a destination play a huge part of how it is perceived. Our favorite places tend to surprise us in unexpected ways or offer something beyond our initial assumptions. If we had to give a brief list, it probably looks something like this:

A: All content posted here is uniquely our own. We work really hard to refine our recipes down to the last pinch of salt. We want everyone to use the recipes, but do not repost them without crediting us as in inspiration or source. When in doubt, just send an email to ask. Thank you!
